Board of Trustees
The Township Board is comprised of seven elected members: Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer, and four Trustees. The Supervisor serves as chairperson. Board members serve four-year terms. The Board is responsible for enacting ordinances, allocation and approval of budgets, levying millages, and other items authorized by State of Michigan statutes. The Supervisor, Clerk, and Treasurer have day-to-day responsibilities in addition to their role on the Board.
Board Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month with special meetings being held as needed. All board meetings take place in the Board Room of Township Hall located at 621 Cliff Street, Battle Creek, MI 49014. Unless otherwise posted, meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. Board meetings are televised by AccessVision and can be viewed on the AccessVision website or Battle Creek Cable TV channels 16 and 17.
